I have been feeling flutters for a couple of weeks now (17 weeks at the moment) and was surprised how early I could feel anything and desperately trying to explain how it feels…wonderful smile  But I think I got it across as dh wrote me a poem and I thought I would share…

The flutter of wings not quite felt,
Almost touching and always reassuring,
A beautiful butterfly from a beautiful butterfly,
Seen pictures, heard news not yet heard cries,
Knowledge of the future does not mean knowing the future,
Tears of happiness, growth and time, sooner, sooner,
Raspberry kisses of a sister, the sharing of toys,
Wendy house together…
And I dream of to come!

Anyone else feeling those wonderful flutters and bubbles yet?
Or getting kicked in the ribs if much further ahead wink

Aw thats lovely!

I am about 15 weeks, and have actually started to feel the flutters already, since about 1 week ago. They are not consistent yet, but depending on how Im sitting Ive definately been feeling them! They do say that you start to feel them earlier than your first baby, I think I was about 18 weeks when I first felt them with DD so its lovely to be feeling it already!

I do think that is a special time, in the past it was what made a pregnancy official, and when people would announce their news, known as “the quickening”.

Lovely poem too.

Lovely poem!

I’m 28 weeks now, so at the stage where I seem to be getting kicked in the bladder at lot!  I did start feeling little fluttering movements 2 or 3 weeks earlier this time round though, at about 13 weeks.

Thanks for your replies later, love having somewhere to share such lovely feelings and words (careful pregnancy hormones in overdrive tonight wink)  and only a week to our next scan.  Think Colin felt movements yesterday, difficult to tell at first.
