Hi there

My husband and I are seriously considering home schooling our two boys (7 and 9 years), well my husband would be the home schooler; I have no patience!

Wondering if there are any like minded people out there and if so, do you have any useful tips/info or sites that we can look at.

Thanks
Lisa

If you check out the home education section of the education forum on this site then you’ll find several current threads discussing this very question. There are many of us home educators on this site.

Hi, I am home educating my boys who are 8 & 9 (& a little one who is 19 months) we are fairly new to it having taken them out of school in March this year, so far so good. We are unschooling and so take a very laid back approach with no formal work at all. It hasnt all been rosy and the boys have spent quite a bit of time where they miss their respective groups of friends we do still stay in touch with some but i think they miss the group thing. Also it is such a big change after all those years at school that it definitely takes some getting used to and both still maintain that they will return to school next year, although i am hoping that will change smile good luck with it all & i hope you find some info on here that is helpful, let me know if i can help with anything
