Just seen the recipe for weetabix cake (Skyes living on £10 for a week blog) . Someone mentioned flapjack made from porridge oats but I cant find the recipe. Could be something to do with the glass (or two) wink of wine I’ve just had. Can anyone share the recipe please??

Thanks in advance

What recipe? We just melt some butter in a pan, add some oats and syrup, mix and cook til the oats are sof, stick it in a tray and bake it for about 20-30 mins. I have no idea whether that’s a real recipe, but it works, and of course we add other stuff sometimes, to make them more interesting.

I made the weetabix cake with half a cup of cocoa and an extra half cup of milk (used soya milk) and it was gorgeous!
We loved it and it is very filling, like the original recipe and you can’t eat loads at a time so it actually lasts, a first for chocolate cake smile

Oh, there’s an unbelievably good recipe for flapjack somewhere in the recipe section - it’s got condensed milk in it and is just sticky and fab (a massive sugar hit though). I think it may have been posted by darkstar baby. Well worth doing a search for though.
