Can anyone recommend any cloth training pants that would fit a very small (18lbs) toddler with a tiny waist? DD is 21 months and starting to get fed up with her nappy/ showing some interest in using the potty. They are quite expensive so I don’t want to waste money on something that will never fit.

Thanks
Sam

We started using the Bright Bots ones (size Small) on DD when she was about 16 months, and she has always been petite http://www.fill-your-pants.com/product/64/13/bright-bots-trainer-pants They fitted her perfectly, and she went up to the Medium size when she was about 20 months

Pocket Bots trainers are pretty neat. “ Medium will fit most slim and/or younger toddlers (under 2’s)“

save your money and go straight to pants if they are ready. my dd was 19 months when she showed signs. i would reccomend a bumpy pad for car seat though.

we did tryjust ordinary pants but she seems to have a major problem staying dry at grandmas house! perfectly fine everywhere else inlcuding various day trips to london with trains and all sorts….

i got mine 2nd hand but originally they came from mothercare, they still sell them and they come in 5 different sizes.
alternatively, can you just try pants with a pul cover or a woll soaker over the top just in case?

I’d second the Bright Bots trainer pants, DD has been in the medium size on and off since she was 18m and it has been the easiest and most stress-free potty training ever!  I’m sure the Small size would be fine for your LO.  Any accidents are contained in the pants, trousers don’t need to be changed, no puddles on floors, job done!  She has been in them full time for 3 weeks and probably wears on average 2 pairs a day.  I also like them because they are more “modest” and cover her up properly when she is lying with legs akimbo in the middle of a room (as all 2 year olds do!) or playing in a playground with just a skirt on.  I’ve just ordered some in the large size as I plan to keep her in them during the summer when pants + skirt will be the order of the day, I will switch her to regular pants in the autumn.

Another vote for Bright Bots here.  The small would be perfect.  They don’t hold much more than a small wee but are good for a little one who is almost potty trained and you need a bit of confidence.  They are also very much like normal pants and not like nappies.  http://www.greenjellyshop.co.uk/Reusable-Nappies-amp-Accessories/Potty-Training-Pants/Bright-Bots-Trainer-Pants/prod_141.html
