Hello lovelies!

I’ve just taught myself to knit and have a question that probably sounds really silly, but I have no idea! I think the advice I have is making it more complicated than it should be

Right then - if I want to increase, do I just cast on one more?
if I want to decrease, do I just put the needle through 2 stitches rather than the usual one?

I can crochet, so yarn and needles aren’t new to me, but knitting is baffling!

thanks xxx

As the description says really but it does need to be acrylic as wool aggrevates my eczema.

An online shop would be great but we have a couple of great wool shops near-ish to us so I can always ask them to order if necessary

Hi there,

DH accidentally put a pair of my lovely pure wool socks (from Cambridge Baby) in the wash and of course they have completely felted and are too tight for even my 3 year old to get over her foot! They are quite thick and still at least 10 inches long plus 8 ins worth of foot… Am obviously gutted but these things happen.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do/make with them? I am slowly getting more “crafty” but don’t have a sewing machine. I was thinking maybe some little animals/gnomes or similar.

Or should I just consign them to the scraps bag/recycling bin?!?

Thanks for any tips.

It happened, someone bought the girls a Tinkerbell dvd - actually I’m not really that offended by its contents as I thought I would be.

DD1 now wants a Tinkerbell costume, however when I search Ebay all I can find are generic Disney Princess/Fairy outfits but in green, nothing like she actually wears in the film. Anyone seen a pattern for a real Tinkerbell costume? Or something pixie-ish that could pass for it?

Aran weight yarn in bright colours, not super wash. All of the ones I can find seem to be naturey colours, which I do love, but I fancy doing bright ones. Not costing a fortune would be a bonus!
