I have raised the idea a couple of times, and it seems to be popular…so, what do people think about a camping meet at the commune where one of my friends lives?

The link on Diggers and Dreamers is http://www.diggersanddreamers.org.uk/index.php?one=dat&two=det&sel=crabapp

And you can see some photos from a trip there on my blog… http://radical-mama.blogspot.com/2010/06/blissful-long-weekend.html

At the moment there are no showers (but there is the lake!), so it is a basic site but it is bloody lovely! I’ll need us to decide a date soon so I can book the whole field…my suggestions are either Easter weekend (April 6-9) or the Jubilee weekend (June 2 - 5)

What do you think?

I have started a new thread so new people can see it

We have a proposed date of the 27th December for the GP Yule meet up, but were struggling for a venue in Birmingham to shelter from the cold and let the kiddies run free that didnt cost a fortune.

I have now spoken to the Tamworth Spiritualist Church who have said that we can have the church, with kitchen facilities on the 27th for a small donation, which is fab.

Tamworth has great rail and road links - and is between Birmingham and Derby - Map for Tamworth

The venue is two minutes walk from the train station, or just off the M42 by car. If the weather is bad then we can ferry people over in our car so its not a problem.

How does this suit everyone? I need to let them know ASAP if we would like to take them up on their kind offer, so if you could let me know if you can make the date and location we should be good to go

I’m looking forward to this meet up, it will be nice to meet more of you lovely mamas

Hi Ladies,

Sarie and I thought it would be a nice idea to see if anyone is interested in GP Yule meet up?

We were thinking somewhere with good transport / rail links for those who wanted to come from a little further away, so maybe Birmingham, Derby or somewhere similar. We could meet at a child friendly location for some food and play, wander around the German market if in Brum, or meet at someones house maybe?

What does everyone think, are there any places you know of that would shelter a group of GP mummies and kiddies should the weather turn, and does anyone have any date preferences?
