So excited to be heading off to Sunrise Celebration this weekend – looking forward to discovering all the treats that they have planned this year, from a Birth Art Dome (created by Da A Luz – the birthing centre in Spain that we wrote about in issue 25) to Medicine Walks, forest school activities for children to Zion Train, who’ll be laying down some lush dub beats on Saturday night. What more could you ask for?
Well, actually there’s loads more on offer – creative kids workshops, the academy of harmonic learning (we like the sound of that), heaps of talks and workshops, organic local produce cooked up into a huge variety of tasty treats (I’m leaving the kitchen sink at home this weekend with the heroic aim of sampling all the good stuff on offer) and a green crafts arena. Some of the workshops available in the Green Crafts and Alternative Technologies space include stone carving, make your own pinhole camera (the photograph can be viewed in six months time) and raku pottery. Of course, there’s enough yoga sessions and crystal healing to keep me blissfully happy for a weekend and our beautiful Spiritual Parenting columnist, Natalie Fee is giving one of her inspirational talks about how to say YES to life. Yay! See you there? There are still tickets available on the gate…
Welcome to the new blog from the Green Parent office. Here we'll talk about what's going on in the small and quite leafy headquarters of the UK's leading green lifestyle magazine. We'll share news that interests us and talk about green issues and natural parenting. We'll share advice and information from our own experiences of living a green lifestyle. And we'll even tell you what we are reading, eating, drinking and thinking. Hope you get plenty of food for thought here.
