Our Green Travel special is out this week. Packed with info on free family days out, places to go, the best beaches and family camping there’s loads of inspiration for the holidays! Subscribers will get their copy in the next few days and it will be available to buy in shops including many health food stores, Waitrose, WHSmiths, Sainsburys and newsagents from Thursday.
We are excited about the variety of great articles in this edition. Features include Life in the Country, looking at the benefit and challenges of rural living; Wild Child, which explores the importance of wilderness in children’s play; and Leap of Faith, where three mothers talk about how their religion shapes family life. Our brilliant reader panel tested out real nappies and organic chocolate for this issue and they share their experiences.
If you are getting excited about celebrating Ostara or Easter with your children you might like to try out the miniature egg shaped pinata craft designed by Joan Gormon and featured in this month’s Green Parent magazine. We have yummy wheat, dairy and sugar free recipes and a selection of tasty family meals using the seasonal spear: asparagus. Of course there’s lots more inside, so get your hands on a copy here.
Welcome to the new blog from the Green Parent office. Here we'll talk about what's going on in the small and quite leafy headquarters of the UK's leading green lifestyle magazine. We'll share news that interests us and talk about green issues and natural parenting. We'll share advice and information from our own experiences of living a green lifestyle. And we'll even tell you what we are reading, eating, drinking and thinking. Hope you get plenty of food for thought here.

It can be difficult to come up with original ideas for occupying kids so thank you for these great craft ideas.
