Lift the spirits

This time of year can be a bit challenging for some of us with it's reduced hours of sunlight, chilly winds and grey skies. I have just discovered the perfect pick-me-up and it's not caffeinated!

A parcel arrived on my desk last week from the lovely Kate Logan of kateloganbeauty.com containing two of her handmade natural products. Kate has a large garden where she grows many of her own flowers and herbs for her fabulous blends, balms and oils. She sent us her Rose Geranium range – a Heavenly Balm and Bath Oil, each packed with ingredients such as organically grown rose petals, petitgrain and rose geranium essential oil.

The luscious botanicals used in these products had an amazing uplifting effect, with the floral scent making a chilly January night seem miles away. The Heavenly Balm is packed with rich nourishing butters including cocoa and shea and is quickly absorbed by dry skin, leaving a delectable scent and soft, supple skin. I’d recommend this to anyone who is in need of a little lift to help them through the darker months of the year.

I have also been using Kate’s gorgeous Rose Otto Healing Balm this week to soothe and protect my daughter’s skin, which is sore from a cold. It works so well and doesn’t sting.
