About The Green Parent:

The Green Parent magazine is produced by a small team of passionate experts who live and breathe the positive message of the magazine. Our office systems are environmentally sound, we grow our own vegetables, recycle our waste, use public transport and generally enjoy a simple green life.

So who are we?
Melissa Corkhill, Editor Mother of two, Melissa is passionate about green issues and natural parenting. Feeling frustrated at the lack of inspirational parenting magazines on the shelves she launched a magazine for local Brighton parents after the birth of her second daughter. Reader response was so positive that the magazine became national in 2004, and international in 2005. When faced with a little relaxation time, Melissa chooses to take a walk in the woods, read a book, do some yoga or celebrate any occasion with friends, delicious food and good wine. E-mail me.

Jez Harris, Art Director
Talented designer and dedicated father of two, Jez loves his job. He embodies the ethos of The Green Parent and chooses to get on his bike, support local shops and grow delicious vegetables from his home in rural Sussex. He has relaxation down to a fine art and hones his skills using the following activities; creating music, playing the guitar and lying on the sofa. E-mail me.

Amy Schofield, Assistant Editor. Amy has written for many parenting titles over the years, and loves the challenge and responsibility of writing on such a diverse and wide ranging subject. A mother of two beautiful boys, she is passionate about her home and her work at The Green Parent, maintaining her work/life balance with ease/effort, depending on how close the deadline is! Amy loves to relax by spending time with her family and friends talking, laughing and cooking, reading, restoring old furniture and sitting by the sea. E-mail me.
